"Energy, strength, emotion: this is precisely what we read and what transpires from the works of the artist Alejandra Abad. Alejandra truly possesses this unique expressive gift. Yes, because the colors and abstract shapes of her works speak to the viewer, tell a story, a feeling, a state of mind: they simply show us a small part of the artist.”

Art Director, M.A.D.S. Art Gallery Milan

THE ARTIST

A Swiss-Ecuadorian artist, Alejandra Abad reignited her passion for painting during the pandemic. For her, painting is not just a creative process but a profound journey of self-expression and discovery. Drawing inspiration from music, dance, nature, and the rich tapestry of human experiences, her artworks resonate with intensity and emotion.

In a remarkably short span of time, Alejandra has showcased her creations across global art hubs such as New York, Barcelona, Milan, and Zurich. Her artworks have captivated art enthusiasts and collectors, who eagerly invest in her unique vision.

Currently, Alejandra's inaugural solo exhibition graces the iconic architectural masterpiece "Fiore di Pietra" by Mario Botta, nestled atop Monte Generoso (Ticino, Switzerland). This extraordinary showcase "Colori del Ticino" runs until the 27th of October 2024, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty and depth of her artistic journey.

SOCIAL PROJECT

Deeply appreciative of the opportunities afforded by her education at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Alejandra pays homage to her roots by donating a portion of her proceeds to support gastronomy and tourism education initiatives in the Amazon forest of Ecuador. With every painting, she is donating a part El Fogon a project by Swiss Association Cuisine Sans Frontières which is giving education in gastronomy and tourism in the Amazon forest in Ecuador.
